Richmond Gear partners with Winters Racing
(3-17-2025) Kernersville, NC – Winters Racing and Doug Winters are proud to announce continued partnership with Richmond Gear as a Primary Sponsor for two NHRA National Events. Along with the Primary Sponsorship for the two events, Richmond Gear will be represented as an associate partner at all other events in 2025. Along with the race sponsorship, Winters Racing will be displaying their ’69 Pro Mod Chevelle for Richmond Gear at the Las Vegas SEMA Show and the Performance Racing Industry show in Indianapolis, IN in early December 2025.
The Winters Racing ’69 Chevelle will dawn a new complete wrap design created by Burke Designs. The wrap will feature a Richmond Gear Ring and Pinion among other creative features. Richmond Gear is the leading manufacturer of professional quality, hi-performance ring and pinion sets. For over 80 years, the Double Diamond has signified the highest quality gears in the racing industry! “The new Richmond Gear wrap by Rod Burke and Burke Designs is another home run,” says Doug Winters. “Our team is known for having great-looking cars that stand out and represent the companies that support us. And this one is no exception.”
Winters Racing will debut the Richmond Gear wrap at the NHRA Midwest Nationals in St Louis on September 26-28. “Even though we won’t have the wrap installed until September, we wanted to let everyone know how excited we are,” stated Allen Winters, Crew Chief for the team. “Richmond Gear has been a part of our race team for over 10 years. And now to take it to a Primary Sponsorship level we couldn’t be happier to represent such a great company.” For over 50 years, Richmond Gear has made performance automotive aftermarket products a priority, thanks to a helicopter company’s request to have gears made of 9310 steel. This stronger, yet slightly flexible steel wouldn’t crack in extreme situations, required a new level of metallurgy knowledge in engineering ductility. New heat treatment processes were developed that later became the foundation of Richmond’s successful racing gearset technology. “Richmond Gear is thrilled to join forces with Winters Racing,” said Steve Filipiak Marketing Director at Richmond Gear. “We share the same commitment to excellence, performance, and innovation, and we’re proud to support their efforts in continuing to push the limits of racing technology. Together, we’ll contribute to advancements in racing that drivers and teams rely on.”
Winters Racing will continue to dawn the Richmond Gear wrap the NHRA Nevada Nationals in Las Vegas in late October. “We look forward to going back to The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway,” stated Doug. “It’s been a couple years since we were in Las Vegas racing. We have had pretty good success there. Back in the day when we ran Nitro Coupes for Super Chevy Shows there we won both races we attended. Now it’s time for us to get a NHRA win there!”
NHRA Nevada Nationals is the final race for Winters Racing in 2025, but that won’t be the end of the season. Winters Racing will take the Richmond Gear ’69 Chevelle to the SEMA Show after the race in Las Vegas. It’s going to be great to have the Richmond Gear ’69 Chevelle displayed in our booth,” stated Steve. “I am sure it will gather a ton of attention during the show and having Doug and the team there will be great to speak to others on the value and performance on running Richmond Gear!”
The show displays don’t stop there. Winters Racing will take the Richmond Gear ’69 Chevelle to the Performance Racing Industry (PRI) tradeshow in Indianapolis, IN December 11-13. “We love going to the PRI show,” says Allen. “And to have our car there will be something special. The PRI show is known for the place to be if you have anything to do with motorsports. To be there in the Richmond Gear booth, representing Winters Racing and Richmond Gear will show our commitment to the racing industry.”
There are many other events that Winters Racing will be attending in 2025. Winters Racing will be representing Richmond Gear at all their events leading up to the St Louis race. They hope to release their schedule in the upcoming weeks
Winters Racing would also like to thank their other long-time sponsors for this year. B’laster Products, Truck Supply Companies, NGK Spark Plugs, Optima Batteries, Gunk, Andy McCoy Race Cars, Quick Drive Racing, Mike Janis Superchargers and MSR Suspension.

B’laster Products extends partnership with Winters Racing
(2-1-2025) Kernersville, NC – Winters Racing and Doug Winters are proud to announce a continued partnership with B’laster Holdings and B’laster Products as their Primary Sponsor for four NHRA National Events. Along with the Primary Sponsorship for the four events, B’laster will be represented as an associate partner at all other events in 2025. This is the third straight year that B’laster and Doug have teamed up to compete Winters Racing’s NHRA Pro Mod ’69 Chevelle.
The wrap for the ’69 Chevelle will continue to feature B’laster colors and PB B’laster’s Penetrant Can. B’laster brand products are born from professional applications where only the strongest survive. Since 1957 B’laster has been providing professional-grade products distributed by some of the largest automotive and retail chains. “The current B’laster design got so much praise last season we are going to stick with it in 2025. Fans really love the look,” says Doug Winters. “Our team is known for having great-looking cars that stand out and represent the companies that support us. And this one is no exception.”
Winters Racing has still not settled on where to start the 2025 NHRA season. “Last year starting out in Gainesville, FL at the Gator Nationals was a disaster,” stated Allen Winters, Crew Chief for the team. “It not only rained and our pit area was flooded for days, we were limited to 3 qualifying sessions and destroyed the engine in the making. So going back there this year is still up in the air.” Doug and Allen will definitely attend the NHRA Four-Wide Nationals at zMax Dragway in April. “zMax is pretty much our home track when it comes to NHRA. Our shop is only 70 miles north in Kernersville, NC. Therefore we have all kinds of family, friends, and fans that come out to see us compete,” stated Doug.
The Super Grip NHRA Thunder Valley Nationals are also on Winters Racing’s list this year. They will be competing there in Bristol, TN in early June. “Going back to the mountains is always special,” says Allen. “Doug and I grew up in the mountains and Dad used to take us to the old Bristol Dragway when we were kids to watch him compete in IHRA Stock Eliminator. So we love going back to Bristol.”
Another exciting event on Winters Racing schedule for 2025 is Norwalk’s Cornwell Tools Night Under Fire. With Norwalk only a short trip from B’laster world headquarters, Winters Racing wouldn’t miss the chance to race at Norwalk. “Night Under Fire is a great event,” stated Doug. “We were there last year and had a ball. And we even ended up winning the event.”
There are many other events that Winters Racing will be attending in 2025. Winters Racing hopes to release its schedule in the upcoming weeks. In the meantime, be on the lookout for another special announcement on another partnership that will have Winters Racing headed out west later in the year.
Winters Racing would also like to thank their other long-time sponsors for this year. Truck Supply Companies, NGK Spark Plugs, Richmond Gear, Optima Batteries, Gunk, Liquid Wrench, Andy McCoy Race Cars and MSR Suspension.
